We’re working hand-in-hand with scientists, citizen scientists, governments, grassroots community groups, nature lovers and ecological consultants to deliver collaborative research, national events, resources and tools that deliver outcomes for the species.
From community-led surveys to cutting-edge research, we champion practical conservation grounded in data, passion and collaboration.
Join us. Together we’re building a national network dedicated to one of Australia’s most charismatic and threatened birds.
The South-eastern Glossy Black-Cockatoo (Calyptorhynchus lathami lathami) is a vulnerable Australian bird that depends on she-oak trees and old hollow-bearing eucalypts for survival. The Glossy Black Conservancy works with its partners to protect this threatened species through habitat mapping, conservation research, community events, and citizen science programs.
